(Hollywood) - Much of the movie was shot in Cleveland, but the nation has adopted Captain America as their own.

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" had its debut over the weekend with a record-crushing $96.2 million take at the box office.

The sequel, of which numerous exterior action scenes were filmed in Greater Cleveland, toppled the previous April record-holder, 2011's "Fast Five" which opened with $86.2 million taken in the first weekend.
