(Minneapolis)--The Cleveland Cavaliers issued a press release Saturday afternoon confirming that 25-year-old Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves will join the team.
The Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers have completed the long-discussed blockbuster trade of Love for overall first round draft pick Andrew Wiggins.
When they do, it will make Andrew Wiggins a bit of an anomaly. He will join Chris Webber as the only No. 1 overall draft picks to be traded without playing a game for the team that drafted them since the NBA-ABA merger in 1976.
The Cavaliers are sending Wiggins and Anthony Bennett to Minnesota for Love. They will also send Miami's 2015 first-round draft pick to the 76ers in the three-team deal.
The Sixers will also get guard Alexey Shved and Forward Luc Mbah A Moute from the Timberwolves, and send Thaddeus Young to Minnesota in the trade, which will be announced on Saturday.
