(Cleveland) - A member of the northeast Ohio band Devo has passed away. Guitarist Bob Casale died Monday from heart failure.

The 61-year old was part of the group which came together at Kent State University and was best known for the 1980 hit "Whip It".

Casale's brother, Gerald, says his brother's death was sudden and a total shock. Devo lost it's drummer last year when Alan Myers died from brain cancer.
