(Cleveland) - Republican Party leaders are getting an up-close look at Cleveland this week. GOP officials arrived in town Monday as they decide on a site for the party's 2016 national convention.

Ohio Republican Party Chairman Matt Borges says Cleveland is the perfect location. Borges also says the political impact of having a convention in the state is as big as the economic impact on the region.

Cleveland is the GOP convention committee's first stop on its tour, which also include Dallas, Denver and Kansas City.  A final decision will be made later in the summer.
