(Cleveland) - The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works says East 9th Street will be closed to thru traffic from Euclid Avenue to Prospect Avenue effective 6:00 A.M. Monday, August 12, 2013, through Saturday, August 17, 2013.
This closure is necessitated due to the continuing work associated with the rehabilitation and repaving of the E. 9th Street corridor. Thru traffic will be detoured via Euclid Avenue, East 14th Street, and Prospect Avenue.
Local access to adjacent properties will be maintained. Due to heavy traffic volumes that utilize E. 9th Street, traffic delays are expected. It is strongly suggested that those planning to travel along E. 9th Street allow additional time to reach their downtown destination.
As work progresses, please be patient when dealing with the inconveniences of construction. The Department of Public Works urges patience and caution when traveling within this construction zone.
Motorists are encouraged to ride the RTA or carpool through OhioRideshare during these restrictions.
If you should have any questions or concerns please contact the Public Information Department, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at 216-348-3824.
