(Akron) - An indictment has been handed up against Gregory Kudla of Twinsburg.
The 37 year old Kudla is the trustee and head coach for the Sagamore Hills F.C., a nonprofit organization that offers soccer programs for children and adults.
Kudla is charged with 8 counts of rape, 8 counts of sexual battery, and other counts. The Summit County Prosecutor's Office isn't releasing information about the victim, or victims, but reports Kudla will be arraigned on Wednesday.
“The arrest of someone who holds a position of respect within the community for sexual abuse serves as a sober reminder that sexual predators are not always who you expect,” said Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh in a written statement.
“As parents we need to be vigilant about who we allow our children to trust. We need to keep an open line of communication with our children so that they will come to us if an adult acts inappropriately.”
