(Undated) - If you dealt with internet or cable TV problems Wednesday morning, you weren't alone. There were reports from all across the country of Time Warner Cable outages.
In fact, a report from downdetector.com reported a massive spike nationwide early Wednesday of Time Warner outages, mainly in large cities served by the company.
The outage affected not just internet and TV service, but also business telephones. One business owner on Cleveland's west side told WTAM 1100 his phones didn't work because they are connected through Time Warner.
The cable and internet provider said a problem with their internet backbone caused the outage starting at about 1:30 a.m. Most service was restored around 6 a.m., with other customers coming online as updates were made from region to region.
Time Warner serves over 14-million customers nationwide, including the Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown and Columbus areas.
