Uma Thurman stars as a harried Manhattan mom of two who lives in the Village where we meet up with one caricatured New Yorker after the other. Anthony Edwards is her nebbishy husband.
Minnie Driver is her very pregnant, very horny best friend who’s been dumped by her husband. Every New Yorker will relate to Uma’s daily trials and tribulations: from alternate-side-of-the-street parking rules to snobby store clerks to annoying neighbors to celeb-obsessed out-of-towners. I’m not sure the rest of the country will relate.
Bottom line: this is a chick flick for New Yorkers.
