“Old Dogs” could well be an award winner this year. It could easily win The Golden Raspberry Award for the worst movie of the year, probably vying with Sandra Bullock’s “All About Steve” , Cameron Diaz’s “The Box” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”.

Williams and Travolta star as lifelong friends who suddenly have to parent 6 year old twins. Yeah- how many films have been there/done that?!

Infantile doesn’t begin to describe this comedy. Seth Green’s biggest scenes: he gets whacked in the groin. It wasn’t funny once and it definitely didn’t get funnier the second time. Then he gets to share screen time with a gorilla.

Obviously, Williams and Seth Green did this for the paycheck. John Travolta’s excuse: it was a family affair with wife Kelly Preston starring as Williams’ love interest and 9 year daughter Ella making her acting debut.

Sadly, the new rule of thumb with Robin Williams: only his indie movies are worth your time. His last great mainstream performance was “Insomnia” 7 years ago. At least Travolta had “The Taking of Pelham 1, 2, 3” this year,

Painful. The hour and 28 minutes felt twice as long. Internally, I was howling in protest over the waste of time and talent.
