– Another winter storm will affect northeast Ohio Tuesday morning into Wednesday with several inches of snow possible.

A WINTER STORM WARNING has been issued for the following counties: ASHLAND, CRAWFORD, CUYAHOGA, ERIE, GEAUGA, HOLMES, HURON, LAKE, LORAIN, MAHONING, MEDINA, OTTAWA, PORTAGE, RICHLAND, SANDUSKY, SENECA, STARK, SUMMIT, TRUMBULL AND WAYNE, CARROLL, COLUMBIANA AND TUSCARAWAS from early Tuesday morning through Wednesday evening.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for ASHTABULA INLAND and ASHTABULA LAKESHORE from early Tuesday morning until Wednesday evening.

Low pressure will move across northern Ohio Monday night. Snow associated with this low will spread into northeast Ohio late Tuesday morning.

Periods of snow will then continue through late wednesday.

Accumulations through sunset on Tuesday will generally be between 1 and 3 inches. Another 3 to 5 inches of snow is likely Tuesday night with additional snowfall on Wednesday.

Total storm accumulations through early Wednesday evening will range from 6 to 9 inches.

In addition, windy conditions will develop Tuesday night into wednesday causing considerable blowing and drifting snow. Northeast to east winds of 10 to 20 mph Tuesday evening will become northwest Wednesday morning and increase to 15 to 25 mph with occasional higher gusts.

A winter storm warning is issued when severe winter weather is expected. Heavy snow and/or ice will cause hazardous driving conditions.

If you will be traveling in the warning area you should choose an alternate route if possible, or you should use extreme caution if travel is unavoidable.
