Alecia Battle hospitalized in attack.
Sunday, September 5, 2010
(Cleveland) - Police responded to a home on Denison Avenue where 46 year old Elecia Battle had been stabbed in the back with a kitchen knife.

Battle was rushed to MetroHealth. Officers arrested her 78 year old father Bill Smith. Investigators believe the two got into an argument. Officers report Battle's husband was also injured while restraining Smith.

You may remember Alecia Battle as the woman who falsely claimed she lost a $162 million dollar Ohio Lottery ticket outside a South Euclid convenience store back in 2004. The scam made national news.

Battle was convicted of falsifying a police report, fined $1,075, sentenced to 50 hours of community service, and one year of probation. She had to repay $5,500 to the South Euclid Police Department for time officers spent searching for the ticket.

She was sentenced to 50 hours of community service and a year of probation. Battle  paid more than $5,500 in restitution to Euclid police who spent a week looking for the ticket.

Battle was no stranger to police, in 1998 she was convicted of misusing a credit card, while working at a Cleveland pharmacy. Battle also has misdemeanor convictions for assault and trespassing.

In an attempt to cash in on her “bad girl” image, Battle embarked on a career as a female boxer in 2005, with little success.
