(Cleveland)
- Advocates across Ohio are preparing to drive thousands of homeless people to election offices to take advantage of a one-week window that allows people to register and vote on the same day.

In Cleveland, the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless is coordinating transportation for about 2000 shelter dwellers to cast ballots between Sept. 30th and Oct. 6TH at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Last month, democratic Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner told local elections boards to have policies in place to allow first-time voters to both register and vote on the same day.

Ohio Republican Party Chairman Bob Bennett says Brunner improperly interpreted state law.
