(Cleveland) - Some red faces after a pink promotion at Quicken Loans Arena.
Due to unsafe ice conditions, the game between the Lake Erie Monsters and the San Antonio Rampage on Saturday was postponed following the first period.
Monsters COO Randy Domain says the game was a benefit for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, with the home players wearing pink jerseys and playing on pink ice.

Domain says they are still investigating but it seems the pink paint reacted with the ice causing it to soften, making for a treacherous playing surface.
The game will not count but player stats will go into the record book.
Fans with tickets for the game may exchange them for any remaining home contests.
The game will be rescheduled and Sunday's game against Grand Rapids took place as planned.
Despite the ice incident, Domain says Saturday's shortened benefit was still a success. They raised thousands of dollars for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and it’s fight against breast cancer. He says the fans were very understanding.
