(Cleveland) - Will it be Issue 5 or Issue 6?

Will there be casino gambling in four Ohio cities, including Cleveland?

Will Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson defeat challenger Bill Patmon?

These questions and more were answered Tuesday by voters in Cleveland and across the street. Newsradio WTAM 1100 will have wall-to-wall coverage right after the Cavaliers game. Join host Bob Frantz and news anchors Darren Toms and Carmen Angelo.

Ohio's casino gambling issue and other ballot questions in today's election have led to a surge of early voting. Election officials in areas including Cleveland and Cincinnati report heavy early voting.

Under a 2006 law, anyone can get an absentee ballot and vote early without giving a reason, like illness or out-of-town travel, as required in the past. In Cleveland and Cuyahoga County, early voting turnout so far is a record for an odd-year election, when local races dominate.

Heavy early voting may not translate into overall higher turnout, just less crowded polling places on this Election Day.

WTAM will be out and about tonight at campaign celebrations and the Board of Elections.
