(Cleveland) - A ten year old boy has apparently died in a local hotel swimming pool.
Just before midnight during New Year’s Eve, Dameion Bell of East 127th Street was found at the bottom of the Doubletree Hotel pool on Lakeside Avenue. An autopsy will be done by the Cuyahoga County Coroner.
According to investigators and witnesses, the boy was found in 9 feet of water in full cardiac arrest. He was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center where he died at 11:45pm.
Cleveland Police are calling it an accident drowning. Several families were at the hotel celebrating a birthday. Dameion's mother reported him missing to hotel personnel, who later discovered him in the pool.
