Patton To Run For 16th District Congress Seat

(Strongsville) - State Rep. Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) has decided to run for the Republican nomination for the 16th District seat in the U.S. House.

The 16th District seat is currently held by U.S. Rep. Jim Renacci (R-Wadsworth), who is running for the Republican nomination for Governor of Ohio.

Patton said he wants to represent the district in Washington to "get Wasington moving for the working families of Northeast Ohio.  He says he'll focus on tax reform, job creation and national security, if elected.

The 16th District starts in Westlake, and snakes to the south and east, across portions of Medina, Wayne, Summit, Stark and Portage Counties.
