Jackson Twp., Ohio - Police are investigating a possible murder suicide of two teenagers.
According to a news release from the Jackson Township Police Department, officers had received a call to check on the welfare of two juveniles.
The bodies of 16-year-old Lauren Emily Kaufman of Lawrence Township and 17-year-old Mason Joseph Brown of Canal Fulton were found about 8:30PM Friday in a wooded area near Portage Road and Akron Avenue.
Both had gunshot wounds to the head.
The girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
The boy was taken to a local hospital, and was pronounced dead at about 2:00AM Saturday.
Police and the Stark County Coroner are investigating the deaths as a possible double suicide or murder suicide.
