Coast Guard rescues trio from disabled sailboat

Cleveland - Three people were rescued by the Coast Guard in Cleveland, after their sailboat became disabled and drifted into the rocks along the Edgewater breakwall Saturday.

The Coast Guard's Sector Buffalo command center received a "mayday" call just before noon from the boat with three people aboard.

A rescue boat was dispatched from Cleveland Harbor to help the stranded boaters.

When they got there, one person had jumped into the water and two others were still in the vessel, all wearing lifejackets.

The trio were safely rescued and evaluated by emergency services, and then released.
