Minivan Smashes Into Circle K Store In Fairview Park

(Fairview Park) - What seems to be an attempt at a smash-and-grab happened early Wednesday morning at a convenience store in Fairview Park

About 4 a.m., a red minivan was backed into the front door of the Circle K store on Lorain Road at West 202.  It took out the entire front door, and was stuck in the front entrance.

Witnesses told WTAM 1100 that there was a heavy police, fire and EMS presence at the store, which is open 24 hours.

Fairview Park Police have not confirmed officially that it was a smash-and-grab attempt, but an ATM is located near the front of the store, and police at the scene told a WTAM listener that it had the makings of a smash-and-grab.
