Original Batmobile Blasts Out of 60s to Lake Co BBQ

(PAINESVILLE) The original 1966 Batmobile will be on display at the Remarkable Lake County Community BBQ Thursday August 9th, 2018. The car, which has reached iconic popularity was a staple of the 1966 series “Batman,” which starred Adam West as the Caped Crusader and Burt Ward as the Boy Wonder.

The original 1955 Lincoln Futura concept – that George Barris turned into the Batmobile for the TV show – sold at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottdale, AZ, for a final price of $4.62 million in 2013. Fans will be able to take photographs with the iconic Batmobile at the event.

 The 2018 Remarkable Lake County Community BBQ happens at the Pheasant Run Airport and Museum, 5782 Trask Road, Madison, Ohio 44057, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event will also feature vintage aircraft from both World Wars, classic cars, antique model trains, fly-overs and airplane rides.
