CLEVELAND - Matthew P. Figgie, chairman of Figgie Capital, Clark-Reliance, The Figgie Foundation and the Fairmount Center for the Arts, has passed away.
The Gilmour Academy graduate was known throughout northeast Ohio for his time and financial support for several local charities including contributing heavily to "Coats For Kids" and University Hospitals Hospice.
Ohio Governor John Kasich remembered Figgie as "...a great and generous man."
