Cleveland - Fans of the 1983 hit movie "A Christmas Story" to now get an added treat, courtesy of the Parker families "hillbilly neighbors".
The Bumpus house, known from the movie for their demon, turkey stealing dogs, will now accommodate overnight guests, just as the original Christmas Story home on West 11th street in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood does.

The Christmas Story house owner Brian Jones bought the Bumpus home in September 2017, and proceeded to complete thousands of dollars worth of renovations inside to bring the charm of the Cleveland-cult classic, along with some modern touches, such as flat screen televisions and air conditioning.
The major overhaul included everything from moving the stairs and adding support beams, to converting the attic into a bedroom loft, to adding two full bathrooms. The result, a restoration that showcases Craftsmen-style doors to the charming living rooms. Antique furniture, including a ‘40s armoire converted into a kitchen sink, and pictures of the Parkers and other Christmas Story characters.
The Bumpus House will include two accommodations: The “Hound Dog Haven” suite on the first floor will sleep up to four guests, in a queen bed and two bunks, while The “Stolen Turkey” suite, which encompasses the second and third floors, will sleep up to six guests. Both include kitchenette and full baths. Guests can also rent the entire house, with rates starting at $195 per night. Admission to A Christmas Story House & Museum is included with each rental. The new house will also add 17 free parking spots.
