Lake County Native Killed In Military Copter Crash

(Washington) - One of the soldiers killed in a helicopter crash in Egypt this week was a Lake County native.

Staff Sgt. Kyle Robert McKee, 35, was a helicopter repairer, assigned to the Multinational Force and Observers Mission. McKee and four other soldiers were killed when their UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter went down in Egypt's Sinai region.

McKee grew up in LeRoy Township, and graduated in 2003 from Riverside High School.
