Lorain Police Seize Drugs and Gun During Search Warrant

Cleveland, OH - The Lorain Police Narcotics Unit served a search warrant, Friday morning, at a home Broadway Avenue. Willie Frank Evans Jr this in the upstairs of the duplex. The search warrant was obtained after a month long investigation into possible drug trafficking. Willie Frank Evans Jr. was arrested at the home on an outstanding warrant for trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. Evans was also charged with an additional count of trafficking in cocaine, a felony of the first degree, based upon evidence recovered during the search. 

During the search of Evans’s home, detectives recovered over 40g of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, a gun, over twelve hundred dollars cash as well as drug paraphernalia. 

Evans has multiple prior convictions for drug trafficking and possession of drugs. He also has convictions for felony domestic violence as well as inciting violence, a felony of the third degree. The investigation is ongoing and Evans could face additional charges. Evans is currently being housed at the Lorain County Jail.
