Russian POW LTC Mikhailovich Claims Army Was Told Nazis Took Over Ukraine

In a shocking revelation, a Russian military commander says his forces were told they were invading Ukraine because "Nazis have seized power" in the country.

Russian Lieutenant Colonel Astakhov Dmitry Mikhailovich, who's a prisoner of war in Ukraine, makes the comment in a video that surfaced on the Internet Monday. He says military officials were duped into believing "that Ukraine's territory is dominated by fascist's regime." In a message to his troops, he adds, "You are in a tense situation going against your own commander. But this is a genocide. The people are just killed."

However, some legal analysts are saying Mikhailovich's statement should be taken with a grain of salt, noting his comments may have been made under duress because he's a POW.
