An accident in Philadelphia involving a tanker has led to the collapse of the northbound lanes of Interstate 95.

The accident took place around 6:30 a.m. between Exit 32 and Exit 30 on Route I-95 North under the I-95 overpass. Shortly thereafter, a massive fire ensued, which resulted in the collapse of the I-95 northbound lanes. The southbound lanes were also heavily impacted.

The cause of the accident and the fire are still being investigated, as well as any deaths or injuries.

This has resulted in the closure of I-95 near the accident. A timeline for reopening is not yet known.
