The Guardians dropped their series opener against the Giants 5-4 in extra innings from San Francisco. Andres Gimenez singled-home the go ahead run in the top of the 10th, but Emmanuel Clase blew the save in the bottom half of the frame. Blake Sabot and LaMonte Wade Jr. each hit RBI singles to secure the win for San Fran. Josh Naylor slugged a two run homer for Cleveland, which fell to 68-and-77. The Guardians are still second in the AL Central. The series continues tonight.
