Gen Z Turns To 'House Hacking' To Afford Home Ownership

Young people are turning to a practice called 'house hacking' in order to become first-time homeowners.

What is 'house hacking'? Renting out a portion of your home in order to make the purchase more affordable.

A recent Zillow survey found that more than half of Gen Z and millenial homebuyers were interested in house hacking.

The median sale price for homes is up 3.5% from last year, while 30-year mortgage rates are at 8%, the highest level in 23 years.
