(Solon) - A Solon man is being held by police and is charged with the murder of his father during an assault that took place in the family home last week.

Solon Police were called out the day before Thanksgiving to a house on Sherwood Drive for a report of a man not breathing. When police arrived, they found 65-yer-old Theodore Guilla dead with severe injuries to his head. Three other family members were there when police arrived.

Police were told that one of the victim's sons, 32-year-old Robert Guilla, had spent the night at the house alone with the victim. Theodore Guilla was found by his wife, who called 911. The couple's 21-year-old son, who lives in Cleveland Heights, was also on the scene when police arrived.

The investigation showed that Robert Guilla killed his father after attacking him with some kind of object. He is now charged with Aggravated Murder and is being held at the Solon Jail.
