(Cleveland) Delontay Edmond-Geiger of Cleveland learned his punishment Thursday for the May 2, 2023, kidnapping and torture of a 60-year-old woman to whom he had given a ride. Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Hollie Gallagher sentenced the 31-year-old to sixteen to twenty years in prison. The victim spoke to the court via zoom from a long-term care facility, describing what she endured at the hands of Edmond-Geiger. She told how he stabbed her, kicked her ribs, zip tied her arms, broke a television over her head, and ultimately stuffed her into a 3-foot by 3-foot plastic storage tote on the front porch of his house near West 97th Street and Henley Court. Judge Gallagher commented on the severity of the case, saying "I've never seen an offense like this in my time on the bench" adding, "never have I seen anything to this magnitude." Even after seven months since the attack, the victim says she still cannot walk or do most normal activities.
