Suspect in Kent Murder is Captured in Texas

(Kent) Police in Kent say a suspect in a November murder has been arrested in Harris County, Texas. Near Houston. 44-year-old Dawan Wilson now awaits extradition back to Portage County where he'll be charged with aggravated murder for the shooting death of 35-year-old Cheretta Frierson, who police say was also pregnant at the time. Police say Wilson drove from his home in Goodyear, Arizona to Kent prior to the incident. And that the victim also had been living in Arizona but was staying with a relative in a home on South Water Street in Kent. The victim was found at the bottom of some stairs by police, who were alerted by a neighbor who heard screams and gunshots in the afternoon of November 21st.
