CLEVELAND, OH--- Without Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks struggled, scoring their season low of 95 points after the Cavs dominated behind Georges Niang's career high 33 points, defeating the Bucks 135-95, extending their win streak to 6 games. The Cavs and Bucks including Wednesday night are meeting 3 times within a 10 day span.
The Cavs were all over the Bucks from the jump, getting out to a 20-2 very early, the Cavs were led by Donovan Mitchell and Niang early on, Mitchell would have a 19 point first quarter, then we would see Naing have a 20 point first half, going a perfect 8 for 8 from the field including making 3 of 3 from beyond the arc. The Cavs would take a 66-41 lead into halftime, not letting off the gas one bit. Niang would continue to explode, especially from beyond the arc, going for almost the entirety of the game without missing a shot, Niang would notch a career high and also his first 30+ point game in his NBA career at 33, he would finish a whopping 13/14 from the field and 5/6 from downtown. Donovan Mitchell would also continue to do Mitchell things, finishing close behind Niang with 31 points and 7 assists while shooting 12/19 form the field. Another notable performance would come from Jarrett Allen, who notched his 10th straight double-double, being only the 5th player in Cavs history to do so. Allen would score 21 points and pull in 13 rebounds, Allen should look to keep this up as the Cavs are now 12-4 when Allen scores a double-double.
The Cavs will look to stay locked in, as they head down south to play the Hawks in Atlanta Saturday night. Tip off is set for 7:30 pm.
