(Painesville) A Mentor man learned his punishment Tuesday for assaulting a Willoughby police officer in September of 2022. 64-year-old David Koubeck was sentenced to 6-months in jail, after which he'll be on probation for 3-years. Koubeck was arrested after he became aggressive with Officer Stacee Wright when she pulled him over for speeding on Lost Nation Road. Koubeck was clock going 57 in a 35-mph zone. The altercation captured on Wright's dash cam shows Koubeck ignoring her request to have a seat on the ground. The encounter quickly became physical and led to good Samaritans stopping on the road to help the officer take down Koubeck. The judge also ordered that he undergo a mental evaluation and get anger management counseling.
