The Cavaliers survived a second half rally by the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night to get their first victory of the season against the Raptors 102-100 and Mike Brown got his 300th victory as a Cavs coach.

Dion Waiters scored 13 of his team high 24 points in the first half and led the Cavs to a 59-45 halftime lead. With 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter the Cavs led 74-53 and then the Raptors got hot. They shot 56% in the 3rd and went on a 28-14 run to end the third led by Kyle Lowry's 11 points to cut the lead to 88-81.

Toronto took a 95-94 lead with 6:41 left in the 4th on Steve Novaks 3 pointer and then game went back and fourth throughout the rest of the quarter. Anderson Varejao hit 2 free throws to put the Cavs up 102-97, but with 7.8 seconds left and a 2 point lead Varejao threw the inbound pass away allowing the Raptors one last shot. Greivis Vazquez stumbled and threw and errant pass that was picked off by Luol Deng to end the game.

The Cavs spread the ball around all night with 6 players scoring in double digits and 4 players with 5 assists or more. Lyle Lowery led the Raptors with 22 points.

The Cavaliers will travel to Detroit on Wednesday to take on the Pistons and will try and extend their win streak to three.
