The Browns came home and watched the game film of their 17-13 loss to the Colts. Here are a few notes from the day.
-Coach Shurmur said that guard Jason Pinkston has been released from the hospital as he is dealing with a blood clot. Shurmur said there is a chance that he could be placed on the teams injured reserve list.
-Speaking of the injury list, the team expects DT Phil Taylor to return to practice this week after he’s been on the teams PUP list the entire season. -When asked about the health of Trent Richardson,
Shurmur said that they will monitor his health throughout the week and if he’s good to go they will play him, if he isn’t healthy enough then they will consider not playing him.
-Shurmur was asked if they will be looking for a new punter, he said “we’re going to work with the guys we have here; they’re our guys.”
-Shurmur said that he will ask for clarification on the penalties on the special team penalties with the league. Ray Ventrone who was called for two holding calls said that he went back and watched the plays and didn’t see anything close to a hold.
-Shurmur also was pleased that young receiver Josh Gordon took responsibility for his dropped pass. As he said “it pleases me they are men enough to take responsibility of their play.”
