The Cleveland Browns’ 2012 preseason opponents were announced today, and the list features matchups against three teams from the NFC North division. For the second consecutive preseason, the Browns will face the Lions, Packers, Eagles and Bears.

The Browns will open the preseason campaign on the road when they travel to Detroit to face the Lions the weekend of August 9-13. For the 11th consecutive season, the Browns will face the Lions during preseason action.

 Cleveland then travels to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers on the weekend of August 16-20. This marks the third straight preseason that the clubs have met. The Browns will welcome the Philadelphia Eagles to Cleveland Browns Stadium the weekend of August 23-27.

Cleveland will close out the preseason hosting the Chicago Bears on August 30-31. The contest will mark the ninth straight time that Cleveland and Chicago face off during the preseason.
