This footage exists! Jack Paar walks off the Tonight Show set. The story is, back in the early 1960s, Jack Paar (the host of TONIGHT before Johnny Carson) told a joke that NBC censors thought was a little too blue for air - so the censors cut the joke without telling Paar. This infuriated the host, and the very next night he quit on the air.
