New York mayor Michael Bloomberg is determined to rid his city of everything that he doesn't like.  Cigarettes, transfats, salt, and big beverages are all banned - now Doomberg wants to ban styrofoam.

From the NY Daily News:

He [Bloomberg] will announce the creation of 10,000 parking spaces for electric cars, propose a law banning stores and restaurants from using Styrofoam in their food packaging, and launch a pilot program that could lead to citywide recycling of food waste.

If enacted, the initiatives would make New York as well known nationally for its efforts to improve the environment as it is known for its programs to improve the health of New Yorkers.
