(GOODYEAR, Ariz.) -- The Cleveland Indians have named their Opening Day starter. Justin Masterson will get the start April 2 in Toronto when the Tribe opens up their 2013 season with the Blue Jays.

The announcement came via the Indians official Twitter account on Tuesday after manager Terry Francona told the 28-year-old in the dugout prior to the Tribe's Cactus League exhibition game against the Kansas City Royals at Goodyear Ballpark.

It will be Masterson's second career Opening Day starter.

On Monday Francona told reporters that Masterson and Ubaldo Jimenez would be facing opposing team's No. 1 and No. 2 starters which would point to Jimenez starting the Indians second game of the season April 3 in Toronto. If that's the case, Jimenez would be scheduled to start the Indians home opener April 8 at Progressive Field against the New York Yankees.

Last season Masterson went 11-15 with a 4.93 ERA.
