(Sun Prarie, WI) - The father of Indians play-by-play man Tom Hamilton has passed away at the age of 86.
According to a notice in Madison.com, Francis "Frank" P. Hamilton of Sun Prairie passed away on Wednesday.
Frank was born on Aug. 22, 1926, in Madison, the son of Andrew and Jewell (Murphy) Hamilton. He was a graduate of Marshall High School. He married Theresa Burke on Oct. 3, 1953, at St. Mary's Church in Mineral Point. Frank farmed and worked for Perry Printing in Waterloo for 26 years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Knights of Columbus and the Foresters. Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, along with golfing and ice fishing.
Frank is survived by his wife, Theresa Hamilton; five children, Tom (Wendy) of Avon Lake, Ohio, Dennis (Colleen) of Carrollton, Texas, Mary Casadonte of Phoenix, Ariz., Jim (Cyndi) of Algonquin, Ill. and Robert (Ann) of Sun Prairie; fifteen grandchildren, Nick, Kelsey, Brad, Katie, Spencer, Casey, Sophie, Rex (Katherine), Grant, Reid, Garrett, Drew, Ty, Leah and Davis. He was also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
