Thought I'd update my situation. I'm writing this Sunday night, January 30th at Cleveland Clinic. I'll be going home sometime tomorrow (Monday the 31st).

Over the last couple of days, I've started eating regular meals again (threw up the first day after surgery). I've been walking around the 6th floor of building H here at the hospital. First few times I walked slowly. After that I sped up. After that, the nurses here disconnected my IV, and I walked around without that.   Just walked around the floor a few minutes ago, and even walked heel and toe, and stayed pretty straight.

When the tumor was removed, the surgeon also had to disconnect the nerves that balance me on the left side, as well as operate my left eye and the left side of my mouth. I will be seeing a doctor in the next week or two to find ways to get the left side of the mouth to pull up so that I can talk properly again, because right now, I slur just a hair. That will be corrected by the time I return to the air on February 28th.

I've heard from a lot of folks in the past few days through Facebook, and I'll keep checking there a few times a day.  Check the listing below for my Facebook address in case you're not my friend.

Well, time to walk around a bit, then watch TV (got the Pro Bowl on) and head to sleep. Thanks to everyone who has said something to me since the surgery on Thursday.
