It's been almost a week since my surgery to remove the tumor in my inner ear. I've been home for a couple days now, but won't be back at work on WTAM 1100 until later in February.

For now, I'm on drugs. Oxycontin and Acetaminophen to kill the pain. Phenytoin to keep me from having brain seizures. Docusate Sodium to keep me from being constipated.

I'm sleeping about ten hours a night, and walking around during the day a bit tired still.

My surgeon at Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Erika Woodson, told me to not lift more than 20 pounds, and not to shovel snow. That ended up being a problem with all the snow that fell on Tuesday of this week. Luckily, my brother-in-law came by with a snowblower and took care of that.

The tumor from my inner ear is completely gone, but the nerves for that same side of my face were disconnected. For now, the left side of my mouth kinda mumbles, and my left eye can't open really wide. That'll all be dealt with after my next appointment with Dr. Woodson next week.

So how do I look? Well, I took a picture of myself the other day after getting home. I put it on Facebook, but I'm also posting it here. I basically have a question mark on the side of my head.

Say "eeew" if you wish.

Should have those stitches pulled out in a week or so, and my hair is already starting to grow out from where it had been shaved before the surgery.

If you want to pass along a message to me, you can send something to the e-mail address that's to the left of this message, but because I'm on sick leave, I can't read it after my password expires later this month. Best bet, become my Facebook friend at tom.moore1100, or you can contact my personal e-mail at tmoore56@aol.com.

I'll be back on the radio as soon as I can!!!
