Good morning Americans! I've been doing Total Traffic on WTAM since January of 2005. I can also be seen getting you into work in Chopper 3 each weekday morning with our TV news partner WKYC on Channel 3 News Today.
Prior to my position with the Clear Channel Total Traffic Network, I worked behind the scenes at WTAM in the promotions department for a few years. Since I still love to give stuff away you can catch me co-hosting The Contest Show on the weekends w/ my college buddy
Jeff Z.
A good Catholic boy at heart, my educational resume features Holy Name High School (class of '95) and John Carroll University (class of '01). Throughout my formative years I always intended to pursue a career in radio. While at JCU, I hosted several college radio shows in the late 90's that spanned formats from heavy metal to blues to talk. Do you remember Mojo's Bath Tub? ...or Hump Day w/ the Goldenthroats? ...or Sleaze the Day? ...or everybody's favorite, Spank Magazine? Yeah, not too many people do at this point.
While finishing up my Bachelor's Degree in Communications, I landed my first real radio job in the promotions department at sister-station WGAR. While there, I was also able to DJ part-time on the weekends, and without much regard for my own personal safety, I'd regularly assist the morning show with juvenile, yet humorous, stunts. Anything for a laugh, right? I even learned to enjoy country music along the way.
If you've listened to me enough, you know that I love Parma! I grew up in there, and I now call Parma Heights my home. It's kinda like Parma on 11...it's one louder. When I'm not checking out the streets of Cleveland, I enjoy singing and playing guitar for the heavy rock band SIGNAL 30. The rest of my free time is spent watching movies, eating too much, singing karaoke at local bars and playing as much racquetball as my rapidly aging body can handle.
